BullySafe with Prevent Child Abuse Indiana
Banishing Bullying Behavior: A BullySafeUSA Community Conversation
Presented by: Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, a Division of The Villages, in partnership with National Council of Jewish Women - Indianapolis Chapter and Tracie Wells & Co
Bullying is one of the fastest growing problems for schools today. One in four children who is involved in bullying behavior will end up in the criminal system. Bullying is an issue that cannot be ignored for what it is: peer abuse. Prevent Child Abuse America identifies peer abuse as a form of child abuse and has made bullying a priority issue in the prevention of child abuse and domestic abuse. BullySafeUSA and Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, a Division of The Villages, in partnership with National Council of Jewish Women-Indianapolis Chapter and Tracie Wells & Company are embracing the issue of bullying with national expert SuEllen Fried.
Fried is the founder of Bully Safe USA and will help provide Indiana schools with a ready-to-use, easy-to-access curriculum of interactive educational materials and workbooks already used by more than 8,000 schools and 80,000 students nationwide. BullySafeUSA's Student Empowerment Program and Train the Trainers Seminars provide in-school training for students, parents, counselors, teachers and administration and public resource officers.
SuEllen Fried talked to a group of Indianapolis parents and educators about the dangers of bullying and shared tips on how to stop dangerous situations.
